Day crew relieved us right on time the final day. They really
wanted to bring the boys home apparently. I think things got pretty
emotional as the final time stations ticked by. I was quite happy
to zip through the final less than attractive miles to the finish
line.
We got to see the first two man team finish. Apparently they had
some trouble as well with one getting sick, but recovering. Given
all our drama, we felt pretty good to finish as close as we did!
More of that pomp and ceremony, with medals and interviews.
Anne Marie and Don flew out to the finish and met the lads on
their way in. They then made their way back to the finish to get
some photos. Anne Marie is having fun with her camera.
Philip is ready for a nap, but Amy is happy to
be reunited with her husband James, and Leigh is looking forward
to seeing her husband Tracy finish!
