Well, the great weather could only last so long, and we had a day of rain. We had rain gear with us, since we planned to spend a few days in Ireland on the way back, but ended up taking the bus up to tour around Rimini. David is an archeolgist and had a great time checking out the ruins. Rimini was a walled city, but was also a target in WWII. All that remains of the wall is the gate.

We had one final day of riding before catching our flight to Ireland. There is so much more to see and Ernesto was such a fabulous host that we will be back.

It was tough going from hot sunny Italy to Ireland, but at least I didn't haul my rain jacket around for nothing!

Of course it didn't rain the whole time.

And John was able to borrow David's bike with fenders, and keep his racing bike clean!
