From Predazzo, we headed toward the Passo Rolle, turning up to
the Pass Valles, before climbing the Passo San Pellegrino. There
was loads of traffic going toward the Rolle, and we briefly considered
a dirt road option, but couldn't tell for sure if it really went
through and really wanted to get the Pellegrino climb in, so we
continued with the original plan. Fortunately traffic eased once
we turned up the Valles. Although then we crossed paths with the
Trans Alps race at this point. We saw loads of the support cars,
but didn't wait around to see the lead racers come through. We
had come over the Passo Valles before but had not remembered quite
how beautiful it was.

We stopped in Moena for coffee and picked up a
bike path that took us most of the way to Canazei. Traffic picked
up dramatically near Canazei. It was much heavier than when we've
been in the area before.
