The climb up the Col de Soller is one of the toughest
on the island. If you like switchbacks, this is one for you. It's about
9 km of constant switchbacks. The road up from Soller also has grooves
carved into the road at the turns, which could make for interesting
descending. It's ok for climbing, and thankfully the pavement on the
other side is smooth. A view of the first few turns from the top.

We got to Bunyola, and Susan and I just kept going,
not giving Roy the chance to look at the map to see how close we were
to the car! John stopped for a few pictures.

This is another of my favorite climbs, with loads
of switchbacks. The descent is quite technical down to Orient. After
Orient, the road opens up with wide sweeping, higher speed turns.

Note the brake pad dust.
